We have been told that Millennials are the most stressed generations the world has ever seen but luckily, there are a few ways to make our life a little more bearable. Here are a few mindfulness tips for millennials.
1. Leave Social Media Behind
Even if you follow accounts that post motivational quotes every single hour or listen to podcasts that how to become a better version of yourself – try to take a break from it every now and then. Social media websites have made us so addicted to their content; we now live our lives online, and rarely offline – with friends and family. While some would say they feel safer this way. While leaving the technology behind, see how it feels spending a weekend with your friends.
I assure you, it won’t hurt.
2. Travel – Go Far, Go Often
It does not matter if you can’t afford that luxury vacation yet. Get out of your comfort zone and travel the way your pocket allows you. Meet new people, see new places and this will teach you to appreciate all that you have.
Learning about a different culture may not only change your approach to living life, but also it will change your perception about your current status you have in life.
The grass is always greener on the other side but can you imagine the happiness you would bring to your life just by embracing everything you already have? What if “I wish” could turn into “I am so happy; I did it”?
3. Create Your Little Mindful Corner
Life can get pretty hectic sometimes. A little challenge like this can put a smile on your face and remind you that it is not all so bad in your life. Pair it with a scented candle and let it fill your days with positive thoughts.
4. Do Yoga And/Or Meditation
In just a few weeks, you will become a totally different Millennial. I already know you value your time and you try to make the best out of it which will definitely work for you. Your brain and body will have such a synchronicity that you will be amazed at how happy you can be. It might not be so easy in the beginning but I also know you’re determined; so, go ahead, Namaste!
5. Do What You Love – Love What You Do!
That angry boss? That job which you feel is eating away your life? Thanks but “no thanks”! You are brave; you are smart, so, why not to embrace it already and make the most out of your life? Find that “something” which makes you happy and when you do, find ways to turn it into a business. That is how most of the success stories happen around here.
