Self-Esteem: How I Became More Confident


As a kid, I used to be one of those little boys with very low self-esteem, who’d be afraid to make eye contact with anyone. It felt as if the person in front of me had some mystic powers that could turn me into a frog, so God forbid I looked them in the eye!

The reason? Probably a combination of many, but I assume the most important one, as I’m sure it happens to a lot of young people, was the lack of validation from our parents and/or our teachers.
